A summary is the decrease a large amount of information to its important points.It's depend on the purpose and material in question.Actually the summary contains the main idea, major details . In addition to, a paragraph probably cut down to sentence or two, an article cuts down to a paragraph, and text book chapter cut down to three pages of notes.
